Cream Dilutes (single & double)
We are trying to encourage more shows to hold classes for Cream Dilutes, so please do support any classes you can.
we hope to quickly increase the popularity of these lovely animals.
The Cream of the Crop Championship series is a Qualifier at all our affiliated shows and is open to all cream dilutes
The BPS Spring, Summer National Championships show will all be holding classes all cream dilutes. We also hold a separate ring for all breeds of any colour which is open to all (including non-members). In this way our previous members can join in the fun even if they no longer have a palomino. Please come along and join in!
THE DOUBLE DILUTE REGISTER
Due to the demise of the Cremello Society, the British Palomino Society created a 'Cremello' Register.
This register has now been officially expanded to include:
all double dilutes - Cremello, Perlino & Smokey Cream
THE CREAM DILUTE REGISTER
To enable the Society to offer a 'home' to any animal with the cream gene, we have created the BPS Cream Dilute Register,
This register is open to those animals which do not 'fit' into the other registers such as:
single dilutes (buckskin, smokey black)
any spotted or pinto horses who have a cream dilute gene (palomino and white/palomino tobiano, buckskin tobiano, blanket spotted dilutes etc)
Any palomino not eligible for the main register (i.e due to having blue eyes or sabino markings).
Please note that Buckskins are often mistakenly identified as Dun. The BPS does not accept True Duns for registration as they do not carry a Cream Dilution gene.
If owners wish to be certain of the genes carried by their animals, Animal Genetics UK offer testing for the Cream gene and many others.
We are trying to encourage more shows to hold classes for Cream Dilutes, please do support any classes you can. Hopefully we will quickly increase the popularity of these lovely animals.
The BPS Annual National Championships holds classes for both registers. Please come along and join in!
